On February 22, 2026, we will once again organize the Hungarian Skating Day at the City Park Ice Rink. The date 2.22 is no coincidence: on this day, we commemorate the anniversary of Hungary’s first Winter Olympic gold medal.
On February 22, 2018, at the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, the Hungarian men’s short track speed skating relay team made history by winning our country’s first Winter Olympic gold. Since then, February 22 has been a holiday for Hungarian skating, a day when we collectively honor our champions and the outstanding successes of the sport.
